Dynamic HTML allows the addition of elements to an existing page. X3D allows the importation of nodes (Inline) into an existing scene. This page is to record major discussion points and solution(s) so that X3D and HTML5 play nicely.
X3D has defined in V3.3 does not directly interact with HTML. It is defined in a stand-alone environment. If it is used in a web page, then there is a "firewall" between the X3D environment and HTML environment that is breached only via the SAI. This discussion applies only in an X3D/HTML5 integrated environment with the DOM is shared and used by both.
